Show your love while they are still there

Today is Sunday here and my title was the idea that I got from the church's teaching this morning. I remembered my mom. She is growing old very fast. My mother became more sensitive when my father passed away. I have noticed that she always want to get enough attention especially to my youngest sister who just got married last June. It has been lonely in the house because there are only the two of us. And I bet, it is lonelier during weekdays when mom is left alone in the house. It is the reason that I am thinking I will not get a part-time work during Saturdays by next semester. I love my mom and all I want to do is to make her happy. Thanks for reading my post. Have a great day for those just starting their days and sweet dreams for those who will be off to bed soon.

Thank you. I hope so I can always make her happy. I know I have never been a good daughter. There were times that I made her cry.

@ms1864 I think that is the problem with me. It is so difficult for me to forgive myself at times.

Don't worry about it. We have all unwillingly done that at some point. As long as you make up for it..forgiveness from mothers comes easy.

That's true.. Children should really spend time with their parents while they still here. Parents need their children's company and care...

Thanks Cristy. Sometimes I feel like I am being a selfish person because all I am ever think of is to earn money to give myself and my mom free financial problems.

@magallon Yes, that is an undeniable truth. Money cannot buy everything.

@annierose I am sure you know too that money is not enough. It is Love and care that is more than enough than money.

It's a good idea not to work on Saturdays, at least for some more months, until your Mom feel a bit better.

Thanks Anna! I know I can save more money if I also work on Saturday but if I do, mom will always be alone. Sometimes, we really cannot have the best of both worlds.

@annierose You are right, but we can make money later, while we cannot get back the people we love once they are gone.

you are right friend, show your love to your love ones especially to your parents while they are still around because we don't know when they'll passed away.

Thank you. I hope people don't die. It is very much difficult to accept that one day, we will all return to dust.

Perhaps you have have more time with her , maybe go out and eat in a restaurant once in a while , my friend . Indeed , we should shower our parents with love , not necessarily money , but our time , while they are still alive and are now old .

I guess your Mum does feel lonely in the house by herself. It is good of you to give up your idea of working on Saturdays but would your mother rather you worked?

My mom makes rags at home. She has also a school supplies stores. I think there are lots of things for her to do in the house. On the other hand, I think she also needs someone to talk to.
