Im almost ninety but I bet can describe our farm in "South Dakota. WE were one mile and a quarter from Newell. US Highway' 212. so starting at the drive way into our farm turn off that quarter mile. There 'was a rental house to my right side also'on that side of the lane was a field of clover' and on the other left hand side was a 'field of alfalfa These were just for the bees osoru apiary . Now half way up a huge irrgation canal runs from the fare end ot] the left silde field to the fare end of tje right side fiedl. Now on my right is a fence as on'the other side of the fence ia a large veggie garden. To my lkeft side is a row of Russian olive trees then a huge apple, pluim amd cherry orchard with strawberry bed and melon patch WE are now at the right hand side of front' lawn with two huge Silver leafed poplar trees.' Also I must mention in these trees are dozens of red squirrels and grey squirrels. "We alw ays loved having them there. Clover is such a pretty green. Sounds a lot like it could be a scene from where I live. Squirrels, poplars and all.

I guess its because I grew up there and I loved living on a farm fresh fruit fresh veggies, places to explore and I was a very imaginative child pretending I had writen a play and performing parts in it l loved to write and tell stories at an early age.

@Hatley You have a nice way of writing it. With a little help I'm sure it could be published.
