Something Special This October

Politics and religion are the two topics that are not so favorite topics here, but I deemed it proper for me, as a Roman Catholic, to mention two special occasions this October: that October is a Rosary Month, and we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assissi on October 4.
As a Catholic, I always pray the rosary to say thanks to the Virgin Mary, and I also like St. Francis, for his being an environmentalist. So every October 4, pet lovers, or those caring for animals take their pets to the church to have them blessed by a priest.

It is good to know about it. Yes, I learned from a friend here, also a Jew, that you are celebrating New Year's Day in October.

i remember attending mass at a new mall. when it was almost over, i noticed it was quite noisy outside. it turns out there was a pet blessing afterwards, so when we came out there were so many people with cats and dogs waiting.

It is a nice way where people show their love for their pets, they want them to get the blessings.

Thanks, Rina, I got this also from my late mother, who was prayed the rosary every night.
