By now, you have to be living in a cave to not know about the robbery of Kim Kardashian in her hotel room in Paris. This hotel has no sign on its door, and you have to be ultra-rich to even find it, much less stay there. Kim Kardashian is the queen of social media and posts all the time on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram. Some social media experts say that the crooks found her because of a feature on Instagram called "geo-caching" which not only gives the location of the poster, but the exact address! What do you think? Should Kim Kardashian post less on social media? Do you post your location on social media? Are you ever afraid that someone will stalk you as a result of your posts, and harm you?

The minute this story broke a friend of mine on Facebook said, "I'm calling BS." He thinks it's one of those things like Ryan Lochte (the US Olympic swimmer who made up the story about being robbed while in Rio). His statement: "she's been out of the spotlight too long, so she's doing this for a publicity stunt." Now, if that's true or not, I don't know. I do have my doubts, and there are a lot of stories online from various news agencies where a lot of people think it was also either a bogus story or a staged robbery. I realize the Kardashians aren't the brightest bulbs in the packages, but if you're traveling in a city with widespread terrorism, and bragging that you're there, the very least you can do is have some security. (And her bodyguard was conveniently next door at a bar when this happened...really??????) My, aren't we cynical....

I have my doubts as well. Such 'celebrities' have massive entourages.

It was impossible to do this without a complicity inside the hotel. I hope that she was not the accomplice : we have 100 cops working on this robbery, and they would find it soon or later.

I feel like it was staged. My first questions was where was her security at? Or the rest of her family/friends? She was posting on snapchap the day before or so many hours before about going out and partying with her sisters. Plus her security took down a guy last week also in Paris in less than a minute when he kissed her butt but your telling me they weren't standing watch at her door if she was alone in a hotel room? Or that there aren't cameras in this hotel?

There is a "Geotag" field on Instagram that is used to turn on or off the location, and she did not turned the location off? I am quite sure that the robbers had more than a GPS location when they came at her hotel. Honestly I am a bit tired by this story : I have been burgled two times since June and I believe that not a cop investigated on my burglars, while 100 cops are working on the Kardashian robbery. She had insurances for her jewelry, and has not lost a cent, it is time to move on.

I agree . Posting everytime you go to a place and on vacation makes you a target of the crooks . Perhaps she will now learn a lesson from that .

I saw the headline about this a few days ago. I never post about where I am going on social media until after I get back.

I think it is a problem with people who divulge too much on social media...and people who are known should be more careful with what gives their location away. I never post my location online. Social media can wait till i am back from my adventures. i need to research in this "geo-caching" feature.

You can also blame her reality show that shows how lavish her lifestyle is. She is basically showing people how rich she is.

I find this so hard to believe. Where was her security at? They took down a guy last week in less than a minute for kissing her butt, but they just were in the room or standing watch at the door like a normal bodyguard/ security would do when a famous person stays in a hotel? I honestly think it was probably staged to get her back into the media's attention since she hasn't been in it lately.

her security guard was with some other members of the family. Although I wouldn't put it past the Kardashians to stage something for publicity, somehow I don't think this was.

@fec139 yea that seems suspicious to me that she was purposely left alone in a hotel when she normally isn't even left alone in her own home. Majority of celebrities are never left alone specially in a hotel room.
