I have a suggestion. After a longer typing session put on a rocking tune on YouTube and do a little dance or several times around the table with the laptop on it if possible. Then relax and type some more. If you do this on and off each day you could probably get some weight off Just a suggestion but I think walking is the best of all that you can do. Someone might start thinking What in the world is she doing in her room?

It's 46 degrees here! Yeah, I need to lose weight as well!! I got a pedometer, but I'm walking but the number stays the same!! Kind of discouraging!!

you can do it, even if it is simply walking for a few minutes each hour down the hallway and back

If the walking is something you enjoy and being smaller makes you happy, GO FOR IT!
It seems that walking is something that is beneficial for all ages.
