Favorite "Girl" Songs #9 - "Beautiful Girl"

A short but sweet entry into my Favorite "Girl" Songs series, #9, Poe's "Beautiful Girl." Poe (Anne Danielewski) got her stage name from a nickname she earned after dressing up as Edgar Allen Poe for a Halloween party as a youth. "Beautiful Girl" is from Poe's 1995 Gold debut, Hello. It was not a hit, not even released as a single. It is, however, a very pretty acoustic ballad, much different from the jazzy trip hop that dominates Hello.

I remember Poe. She got airplay back in the day. She was part of that rash of good girl singers in the 90s.
