How do you spend your MyLot earnings?

MyLot will never provide a living wage, but the 'pocket money' we earn from participating in the site is a nice perk. I'm hoping to use my 'MyLot' money to pay for entry into virtual races. These are running races where you register for a distance of your choice, pay an entrance fee, complete your distance any time and any place, provide proof of your finishing time and distance which then goes onto an online table of results, and then receive a medal in the post. I think it's a good way of keeping me motivated as I hopefully build up my stamina and fitness and progress to new goals. Most of the races cost between £5 and £10 to enter and the proceeds go towards a range of charities, so I think it's a nice thing to be putting my MyLot earnings towards. What about you? What do you spend your MyLot earnings on?

My online earnings stay in my paypal for use when I have online transactions... I hardly ever shop online, so most of the transactions are when I recharge my mobile online every other month or so...

I sometimes buy domain, pay my hosting bills and sometimes I put on for my phone fund. I am planning to buy DSLR now. So every 5$ will get me closer to better model :p

I didn't spend it. Because of the high exchange rate, I withdrew all my Paypal earnings from my online gigs and transferred them to my savings account.

Well done. But does it cost money to transfer the money to your saving account?

@Mandy20160425 Yes, if it is less than the threshold amount. Mine reached more than that because it was an accumulation of all my earnings from different online sites.

It's all just inside my paypal account together with all my online earnings, I hold it as reserve money.

@Ghostdmo oh yes but it has to be scattered and not in one basket, we cannot trust the banks anymore after the last down turn so i have a few in the bank, some inside paypal, some are in cryptos like bitcoins and dogecoins, others in a real physical piggy bank

@5thHouse Bubblews income used to be good for such rewards - those days are over now sadly

I used to do that with my Ciao money, although once I used my Ciao money to buy a Kindle. Those were the days when we would get quite impressive monthly payouts! In some ways I preferred the sites that paid with Amazon vouchers because then it wouldn't just go into the kitty and I could actually buy myself a proper 'reward.'

For the moment my earnings stay in my PayPal account, where I had already my earnings from Bubblews and Squidoo. I have not yet decided how to spend the money, that now has reached a good sum.

@5thHouse The PayPal account is mine and only mine, so I will have the choice to spend the money how I like.

When I was writing on a site called Dooyoo back in the day, they used to pay in Amazon vouchers. A lot of people didn't like getting Amazon vouchers and preferred the sites that paid with 'real' money, but I used to like getting a voucher. Somehow it felt more like a treat than just getting money going into my account, more of an excuse to just spend it on something for me, rather than the money going into a general pot.

I transfer the money to my regular bank account so the earnings just get spent as any other $$ I have would in my daily life. Nothing exciting.

I'm not a very patient person so the thought of saving up MyLot earnings to afford something big doesn't appeal. I'm glad I've found something relatively inexpensive that I can spend it on and that I can pay for these virtual races straight from Pay Pal.

I've not reached cash out yet, but when I do my MyLot money will be my "fun" money. Most likely to be spent on christmas presents until after the holiday. After that I'll probably use t to buy stuff from amazon. Or craft supplies.

I have used my money in Paypal (from myLot and others) to contribute to people I know who have started an online fundraiser, give to charity, and buy Kindle books at Amazon. When it sits in there for a while I forget how much I have. I haven't had to use Paypal with a credit card for a couple of years, so that is a good benefit of doing a bit of online earning. And now I'm curious how much I have in there right now-- pretty sure it's under $5 cause I just used some to help out two friends with medical expenses.

I used to get survey site monies going into Paypal too and I would just forget about it, just leave the earnings sitting there. Now that I've found a virtual run site where you can pay direct from Paypal, it means I'm actually able to put those earnings to good use.
