I’m still posting some of my poetry writing class assignments. The challenge was to create “word pictures” using only a few words that were pre-selected for us to use.
Poem #1
The rainy season in Africa
Drenched straw and bamboo huts
Clouds of mist draped the highway
As the small motor scooter putts.
Poem #2
Lamenting the absurdity
My mind won’t accept the lie,
Considering the reality
My heart cries endlessly, WHY?

Yes, the second Poem was a bit deep, but those were some of the words we were assigned to use in the class that day. I always loved the challenge.
I wish there were some online classes like those we had back then. There probably are classes but this one was FREE.

Thanks, I'm glad you like reading my poetry. I have written poetry for many years now.
