Any tips for me to get started? I would like to know some of your favourite methods for getting the best results from working here at mylot.
I am 56 and can spare a couple of hours of leisure to this site. Can you let me know how much I can hope to make over the next 3 to 6 months @ 2 hours per day?

Don't make the mistake of thinking that the more discussions you write, the more money you will make.
The best thing any new member can do is to read other people's discussions and comment on them. Get involved with the conversations on other's discussions and people will start to recognise your name and start reading and commenting on your discussions.
You get nothing for writing a discussion that nobody responds to so get out there and start interacting with others.

Yes, he said it all. Go to "Explore" and find the most recent discussions, the interesting discussions, the top rated discussions and comment on them. Check your notifications to see if someone has responded to your comments and answer them back. That way you are really having a conversation.

@mysticaura,Welcome to Mylot.First of all,let me tell you that Mylot is not a site for making money.It's a site for interaction.So,all you need to do is interact.Share your discussions like this one,read other discussions,comment on them,comment back on comments etc etc.@Wordazza is absolutely right.Follow what he has said.

Welcome to myLot - first off, then you have to realize this is not a get rich fast site....if you spend lots and lots of time interacting you can make about ten dollars a month...but it takes time, lots of time. And you need to post interesting discussions.

That is a nice mantra to internalize. Read write post interact. RWPI. Nice to remember it as a pnemonic: Regular Writing Plus Income.

You have already had several responses full of good advice. You will also find it worth your while to read the pages you'll find under "Help". The Earnings Program FAQs tell you how earnings and payment works and the Community Guidelines outline the fairly simple rules and the things that you should avoid doing.
What you earn has very little to do with how much time you spend here. If you post discussions, responses and comments which attract a lot of interaction and you come back to reply to those who respond and comment, you could quite easily begin to reach the $5 minimum each month.

Hi! Just enjoy mylotting and you will reap your reward at the right time. I just go here to get rid of my stress just like now. After this, I am going back to my blog. I somehow neglected it already due to busy schedule.

impossible to estimate ernings on a per hour basis - daily activity sounds like it should hit the $5 a month threshold though - good luck and have fun
