My eye lid has a tiny red bump and I have this eye ointment for it.

It has been prescribed to my wife. It is a general purpose eye ointment by Bosh and Lomb and it is for a sty or irritated eyes. I have had some paper dust get in my eyes from dumping shredded paper in the trash. Also I have tended to get saw dust in my eyes once in a while when cutting on a tree. Whatever it is I only hope the little red bump goes away. I hope that the eye ointment works. Any how. It does take time for nature to heal us and I guess I should apply the ointment once a day and wait until a few days to see if there is any improvement. I have had issues with my eyes getting minor infections many times over the years. I guess this is pretty common but it is stressful because I really don't want to spend a day at the doctor's office waiting for him to look over my eye just so he can prescribe the same basic eye ointment that I already have at my disposal.

But then , if that little red bump on your eyelid won't go away , it is time to consult an eye doctor about it , my friend . I hope it will heal in a few days .

Thank you. I hope so. I have allergies and sometimes I rub my eyes a lot when I get them so if I don't keep my hands washed I am certain some germs get into my eyes at times.

A natural stye would just heal on it's own provided there is no secondary infection, i hope it's just that and you would get well soon.

Yes and thank you for that. I might just take a Minocycline capsule along with the eye ointment to be safe.

Hope the sty is not that serious and the eye ointment does the trick ! I once had the sty caused by staphy lococcus infection. It reduced the swelling after applied the chlorotetracycline eye ointment to it for a couple of days.

Yes, that must be a pretty good thing to use and glad for you that you had the medicine to take for it. Eye infections although usually not that serious can a stressful thing to experience for most of us. Myself included.

You could have a stye. My son , when he was young, had a small bump in the eye that ended up being a stye.

Hope it heals quickly on its own so that you don't have to go to the doctor.
