"Sorry I cut in line," no hard feelings. "Sorry I bumped into your car," no hard feelings. "Sorry I got promoted instead of you," no hard feelings. "Sorry I accidentally knocked over your 200 year old vase," no hard feelings. "Sorry I..." "Stop! Yes, plenty of hard feelings. You are constantly doing things to bother and annoy me. You are mean, vindictive, and egocentric. Oh, by the way, I've been sleeping with your wife for the last two years. No hard feelings!"

Hard feelings will always be there in my opinion unless we live in a single man island

that is harsh and rude at the same time.

That is true. The point is that saying your sorry is sometimes a meaningless gesture when the damage was caused by carelessness or intentional.

I never could understand why people thought they could do just about anything and then get away by saying "sorry". It makes me want to place them through a meat grinder.

I'll respond anyway, saying sorry and really meaning it works. I rarely find anyone who will say a fake sorry let alone a real one. But your right most of these are done intentionally and there is no sorry attached.

The one I like is "I'm in a hurry." Well, things happen, but you should have planned your day better. *grumble*
