Do You Suffer Fools Gladly?

I am prejudiced – not racially, or sexually but I have never been particularly tolerant of idiots and the terminally stupid. Bullies, people who nit-pick everything said, lazily make zero effort to communicate, and think shouting and being the last one to speak wins any argument – here my tolerance threshold breaks down. Strangely, I find myself turning into an idiot magnet – they seem to find me anywhere and I feel cursed like some Ancient Mariner to meet every buffoon, nincompoop and annoying ignoramus on Earth before death spares me, if I’m not to meet them all again in some kind of Fool’s Paradise. Life is not a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party – I really have no time for idiots. The really scary part is that I probably am one too. How about you? Arthur Chappell

I think the problem with modern life is that it's easier than ever to be surrounded by idiots and bigots. Social media has made it easier for these people to spout their mad views when once upon a time they would've had to stay at home with no audience for their lunacy.

@5thHouse I don't mind the idiots spouting off on social media as it is easy to ignore and not visit their pages while favouring sensible communicators instead - it's real world in your face eedyots i have problems with

Me neither. Although some of them are amusing sometimes, I guess.

How unfortunate. but yeah....i come across such people too every now and then in life.... arguing with them is a complete waste of time...at the same time it feels like i need to protect my stand. however online it is easier to walk away....

Dealing with people like that you have to ignore them and they will go away.

I choose to ignore these negative people since going up against them will just attract more of them. Sure they will continue on their errant ways but I really do not have the day of time for them. I am just more busy with worthy company. You should just turn around and find your good company.

"The really scary part is that I probably am one too. " - i know i am. there are stuff i'm terminally hopeless at, or will only know the surface of no matter how much i try, and will always depend on others for, even if it means getting shortchanged.

@Poppylicious that's often down to high speed computer games editing and music videos - teenaers have a very low attention span nowadays

That echoes much of my sentiment and basically most of the human race falls into that criteria.

I think we all do not tolerate fools at one time or the other, but there are just too many of them around and every single day you meet one.
