Writing Well Just Dried Up...

Writer's block. myLot rut. Call it what you will but my writing well just dried up. Must have been a case of pushing myself too far. Or maybe not writing enough because, honestly, I haven't been writing enough truth be told!
Anyway, read through my notifications. Also, read a lot of posts. Left comments as well. Also, been reading random stuff online and looking at a couple of writing prompts. I need to weed through distractions and pick out inspirations.
Going to go grab something to eat for now. Hopefully, I come back with fresh ideas to write about.
How do you guys and girls cure writer's block?

@allen0187 I didn't physically go away - I cleaned up my garden, wrote some poetry for another site, and did some reading.

It happens to the best (and worst) of us. Something will inspire you. Don't concentrate on something to write too hard. It will come to you.

I do that as well. I stand up and walk around looking for anything to spark something in my mind.

@allen0187 I relax myself a bit. Sometimes I watch a little tv or movie, sleep or eat. I do not like to push myself so hard when I am running on empty in writing.

@Beatburn I stand up from my desk every hour or so and walk for a good 5-10 minutes.
Sitting is the new smoking!

Many times I just go take a break. Get offline and go watch one of my favorite TV programs or watch a movie. Other times I go work on my listings on eBay and Bonanza, or take a nap. Then I come back here when I feel I have time to talk and write about what I am thinking about that day.

Well, I am one who loves to observe things and always learning new things. I believe one can became better at what he does if he keeps doing it everyday may it be a job/profession or even business as practise makes perfect but there are times when one needs to just try out some new things, maybe soemthing we're not really accustomed to - it can be likened to thinking out the box. I guess from there one may draw some inspiration.

@allen0187 I can totally understand, lol!~ That's why I try to mylot if not I night not even have time to pen down my thoughts let alone the poetry or what not that comes across my mind. If I don't steal time and do that, by the time I come around I might have forgotten a whole chunk of it or even push it to some other time which might not happen altogether, lol!~

@zweeb82 I do the same. I write, actually, more like scribble in a notepad my thoughts - words, phrases, a sentence or two - that eventually gets molded, shaped, hammered, or otherwise obliterated into a written piece.

Mylot is not about just writing, i think.. It's more of interacting.. Its more of what interesting things u post.. N what interesting comments u can make

There are days I can't think of anything to write. My husband would likely say really. I find if there isn't something to discuss, then it just might be a day to go outside and look at the flowers.

I think you need to go for a walk if you have no writing idea!
Perhaps your brain needs a rest.
The other day, I borrowed a book from the library that was so funny.
It was a bedtime story book for pet dog!
Can you imagine where the idea comes from?
The writer must be very creative to think about writing bedtime stories for dog owner to put their pet dogs to sleep.

Easier said than done though.
Although, it is a good practice to do some free flow writing. Let your thoughts rtansfer from your mind to your pen to the paper. Edit it later.
