Recently, both @FourWalls and myself completed series' about "Girl" songs. Why not follow that up with "Boy" songs? I'm at #8 in my series, which is The Busboys and their song "The Boys are Back in Town." The Busboys formed in Los Angeles in 1978. They caught their big break when they appeared in director Walter Hill's 1982 movie, 48 Hours, performing "The Boys are Back in Town" during a crucial scene. Oddly, as popular as the song was, it wasn't released until the year 2000, on an album called The Boys are Back in Town. The band supported Eddie Murphy, and toured with the likes of Linda Ronstadt and ZZ Top, but never got to reap the benefits of having a hit single under their belts. (Fun Wikipedia Fact: Original guitarist Vic Johnson currently plays for Sammy Hagar.) Call it the hit that never was.
Vintage concert footage recorded at the Ritz in New York, 1985. Brian O'neil, Victor Johnson, Steve Felix, Reggie Leon, Greg French and Mike Radi.

Okay, I came here for Thin Lizzy...but I've seen Vic with Sammy 4-5 times now. I've actually never heard this, but then I haven't seen the movie either...

Oh, it's a good movie. Definitely worth watching. Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy are great in it.

@teamfreak16 Didn't know Nolte was in it...that gives me a little incentive

@amadeo - The Busboys were in the scene where Eddie Murphy goes into the "black" bar.

This was a big hit in the day and often used for commercials.

I mentioned way back in my "opening acts" series that I saw the Bus Boys opening for Linda Ronstadt.
