Saw a dying dog

I was walking half the kilometer before I turned around to the next neighborhood when something that caught my attention between the bushes. It was a dog, I thought it was dead but some how his eyes were blinking, over and over. Not sure what happened to him, but I just went my way and didn't help the poor animal. I mean it was dying, there was nothing I can do, couldn't even save my puppies and my eldest dog, how much more this one Part of me wanted to come back, but I took another turn on the other end. Gave me a lot of flash backs of how my babies died after trying to save them.

ah..the feeling of guilt. I remember when i was younger, i was waiting for my school bus one morning, when suddenly a car speeded by, just as it went i heard a sharp cry, i turned to see that the car had run over a cat who was now thrashing in pain. My mom was with me and somehow knew that the cat would die within 2-3 minutes....and as we saw from a distance...the thrashing stopped....and within 2 minutes...it moved no more.

Should have called the officials, it could be rabid, or at least informed the barangay officials the location, some owner might be looking for it if it was hit by a car

I don't know @louievill but a lot of dogs, cats and even rats had hit on the road these days. It was more like it was neglected like the dogs I often see.

i took a dying dog in 6 years ago when the temperature outside is -22°,the poor dog is frozen stiff. i took it back to my place and warmmed him, several months later it gave birth to 6 small babies. 1 year later l leave them to the south and never see them any more.

I would have stayed with the dog @Letranknight2015 . Dying alone is a sad thing; even for an animal.

I couldn't stay because I had to finish my walking and went to the doctor to have my grandma listed, which i realized that day was a total complete waste of time. @nanette64 besides i don't have the money to help her.

Dog's life is short. I've seen many good dogs die one after the other. I can't do much but feel sad.
