Sixteen years ago my second grandson was born and besides being huge, he weighed almost 11 pounds, and my daughter had him natural. After a few days, he had been moved by helicopter to 2 hospitals as no one could find out the problems to his very rapid heart beats. After the initial operation at a few days old and open heart surgery at one month old and many years of constant doctors appointments, his blood pressure is finally under control. My daughter called me today from New Jersey and had tears of joy which was the first great news, both my grandson and her had in years. He still will have regular doctor appointments but the tension will not be as bad as it has in these past 16 years. We are truly blessed.

@LadyDuck She is. I dreaded all the appointments he had as she had to drive so far for them. It took her 2-3 hours each way depending on the time of day. Driving into New York City is not the easiest and then back home. If she had bad news she would be upset the whole ride. This was the first appointment she went home happy. Both of them were very happy.

My daughter to. She always came back from those appointments a wreck. Sometimes she would be gone over four hours as a few doctors were in New York, same hospital as Dr Oz.

@ramapo17 Yes, I can easily see that, Nancy! I am pleased for you, too! I do wish mine was under control, too... Pretty and I have been taking my bp in the mornings after am ready to leave for work and again when I get home every day. Last night it was 199/118. This evening it was down a bit to 168/120.... shrug!

I have been on blood pressure medicine for years and it is just in the last few years that I am under control as I added unfiltered apple cider vinegar everyday. Sometimes, when it was higher I would take that twice. My doctor is so pleased.

@DaddyEvil I have been taking mine every morning for years and last week I went for a flu shot and they took my BP and it was high. I had a doctors appointment that afternoon and I took my meds at lunch time. By the time I got to my doc appointment my BP was normal. I told my doc what happened and she said it was high in the morning because I didn't take my meds before I went for the flu shot. She said by taking the pills at lunch time they were doing what they were suppose to as it was normal when I got to her.

We are all so happy. We always dreaded those appointments. He couldn't take most of the medicine as he also has ADHD and they would have a bad effect on him.
