I don't usually say that, but this has been a strange week in some ways. The transparency (overhead) projectors disappeared from all of the rooms where the Psych Department teaches at the College, and I accidentally got underpaid at two of my three jobs. I've had to spend time dealing with issues that could have been spent more productively.
On the other hand, I did get to see afternoon kid clients every day this week (good productivity numbers), subbed at the preschool one day (fun and hugs), and got caught up on some paperwork. I'm also considering buying a Martin D-18 guitar, and the Cubs are one win away from going to the World Series. So it's been a positive week as well.
Are you looking forward to this weekend?

Twenty seven outs and at least a one-run lead away from eliminating 71 years' worth of frustration!!! Of course, it'll render one of my favorite Steve Goodman songs ("A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request") obsolete (with its line about "the last time the Cubs won the National League pennant was the year we dropped the bomb on Japan"), but if Steve were still with us he'd be the first one telling them to make the song a thing of the past! (Of course, they already have in many regards, because the Cubs are no longer "the doormat of the National League"....that distinction belongs to the Cincinnati Reds...must be somethingi about a "C" on the cap )

The Cubs will be power for a few more seasons until Bryant and all his fellow young players hit the big money contracts and the Cubs will not be able to keep them all.

@TheHorse idlis are ..lol...very difficult to explain...ok ..I will try...you know black lentil..we take black lentil peeled one ...soak it for 6 to 8 hours and we also get boiled rice out here...it is available like semolina (hope you know that). We soak that too. For every one lentil cup, we use two cups of boiled rice flour or powder ..whatever you call it. We call it rawa. Then in the evening we grind it to cake batter consistency. Leave it over night for fermenting. Following morning we add salt and we have idli vessels...they have you know tiny holes in them. We apply a little bit of oil, and pour this batter in those and steam it...in microwave it takes about four and a half minutes. Good protein source, and since rice is boiled much of the starch is out of way. I eat it with mango pickle. For dad and aunt I prepare some chutney. Peanuts ...fry them, and peel them, add half onion, green chillies, some cumin powder, tomatoes to taste, salt to taste, and corriander. Grind. Raw onion good in the morning. It keeps sun stroke away. On the whole, supposed to be healthy breakfast. Everybody eats this so even I eat this. End result looks like this
Actually folks like hora and porridge would love idlis...its supposed to be a delicacy with sambhar (which is a type of lentil soup).

Hmmm... it does sound like you have some good reasons to look forward to a bit of a break!
I never know what day of the week it actually IS, pony! Yes, I have to know the date, but the day is unimportant to me job-wise!shrug!

@TheHorse Yeah, I honestly don't know when I'm off unless I check my schedule for some reason.
We are scheduled three weeks in advance... I set up alarms in my calendar to go to work... It has happened that I wake up before time for the alarm, so I get ready and go to work, only to find out I wasted two hours of my day off!

@DaddyEvil I find myself automatically getting up at 6:30 AM these days, whether I need to or not.

Maybe kind of. I should do some property work like haul in hoses even though its chilly and maybe rainy out. Sunday there is a Howl-O-Ween event going on at a local feed store. We might bring our little Sally CattleDog to that. She will have her hoodie sweater on. I might wear the black cowboy hat that my hubby gave me for a Christmas giftie.

We (the teachers) didn't know either. It turns out they're updating to some new technology, but they didn't overlap the two. They expected us to just do without for awhile. Needless to say the projectors are back in several classrooms now.

I wonder why the projectors were taken? That guitar sounds like a fine purchase and gift for yourself.

I heard if they go to the series it will be the first time in 108 years. My dad was a Cubs fan. I bet he's watching from heaven. I'm glad you had a good week with your kid clients. I hope you get your pay straightened out. Good luck with the new guitar.

We in LA get to cry again. But it was inevitable for the Cubs this year. Go Cleveland!
