Yes, time really flies so fast and soon we have November. Do you celebrate All Saints Day and All Souls Day in your country? We do in the Philippines. If you celebrate those days, how do you do it? My family and I just visit the grave of my mother and some other relatives. Then we go home and have our snacks. That means family bonding again. So weekend is here. Do you have any plans? Enjoy your weekend! The photo was taken by me near the Tiklas Waterfalls in Gingoog, Philippines.

We go to Manila Memorial Park, we have 3 lots there where my father, grandparents, aunts and uncles are interred. No need to go anywhere after that, the place is like a mall on all saints day, all the major food chains like Jollibee, Shakey's, Mc Donalds etc are there. as well as eterprising business people from nearby rich villages sell all kinds of stuff

@thelme55 it is but fun, MMP is a private cemetery where some of the rich and famous as well as celebrities are buried. The most popular sites there are the simple tombs of Cory and Ninoy Aquino, and the late actor Rico Yan. Yes it's loud but the people are disciplined and well to do, it feels like a park rather than a cemetery and security is good because they have roving guards and medical personnel.

No we don't celebrate those days in our country. It is the first I am hearing of them. I don't really have any plans for the weekend. I hope you have a nice weekend as well.

As much as I hate the crowd, we have to visit the tombs of my parents today. I just could not convince my siblings to go there some other days so I have to just concede.

That is a very pretty picture. It reminds me when of the falls we encounter when I still live there and was into mountain climbing.

We don't bother too much with Halloween here, though it is getting more popular than it was. Enjoy this weekend Thelma.

We used to until Halloween changed our customs. Still, many of the older people visit their loved oneĀ“s graves with flowers.

I see @marguicha. You have adopted the Halloween celebration as well. Gladfully, it is still the Filipino tradition which is going on.

Of course we always November 1 . We will go to the cemetery to bring flowers , candles and prayer for our dearly departed . And what is nice is we also get to see some of our old friends visiting also on their dearly departed . Funny , but Filipinos always go to the Cemetery on Nov 1 - All Saints day instead of Nov 2 - All Souls Day.

Yes, we celebrate both. All Saints Day is a holiday but there are no special celebrations, while on the All Souls Day people usually brings flowers on the tombs in the cemeteries.

I know the Catholic church celebrates All Saints Day, but I never have, not being Catholic. Instead it's Halloween here.
