What is the one bit of saving advice you gave your kids?

I been trying to get kay to be like me for years. I see she is frugal and I love that. But saving for a year she has not mastered. so I leave her alone about saving. I am all for learning new things for myself. No matter what my age.

I told my daughter to save on meat by buying the big flats of it and then dividing it into zip freezer bags. Works great! Also, that saving a little each month is better than not saving any at all.

How does she cut up that meat? I can try that.

@sharon6345 ....... I have her put the amount we need for a meal in a freezer bag. That three in each one. For hamburger she divided the bigger amounts and then flatten down as much as possible in the bag. This helps with storage and is quicker to thaw out.
