As a ritual, we've put the rice grain on our window to feed birds. This is sparrow!

Rice is not good for birds. It swells up in their tummies. Is there any way you can give them millet or other such seeds?

That's a unique ritual. We use to put some cooked rice in front of our gate after cooking as an offering to lower spirits. We believe sparrows that eat the rice are the lower spirits themselves in the form of sparrows.

@RitzzView In many parts of our country, sparrows had become almost extinct. No idea how and why, but their number is increasing again!

Durga pujan..is the name of the occasion. On this day, we hand new flower on our doors and hang this rice grains over the outside..to feed any animals or birds This day is also about showing value and respect towards -knowledge(represented by books), things in house which makes our life easier(technology for eg)
