You may wonder why I haven't jumped off a roof, yet. Thursday I tripped over Doodles's litter box and fell. I have a stiff neck. Friday, the cleaning lady chipped our newly stained and varnished floor in our old family room. Friday, an hour after the painters left, our son stopped by to see how the new family room looked. My husband and I were in there, when my husband lost his balance and fell into a wall, breaking through the sheet rock. Thank goodness he didn't harm his back, but twisted his knee. Saturday, he twisted the same knee doing his therapy. Our son picked up sheet rock and delivered it to us. Sunday, the painter used the sheet rock, repaired the wall, painted it twice, and in between painted our white front door a glossy black. He'll be back in the spring to do all kinds of painting. I feel so much better, but until today, I wanted to jump off a roof.

Whatever you do, don't do THAT. My brother in law fell off a roof over a year ago, and he's been in pain since.

@DianneN A much younger man was in the ER at the same time, fell on his head doing the same stupid thing. He didn't survive. I blame testosterone.

Wow! That room took a beating. I hope your husband is okay. Please don't jump off the roof. You have enough problems right now. I hope things get better from here on out. Sending up stronger prayers for safety on the home front.

Wow a lot is happening there. But first and foremost, glad you're okay. The wall is repairable (and is repaired ~ you wouldn't have known!) I hope your husband has a speedy recovery with his twisted knee. :( Hope this rant helps you blow some steam! =)

lol I am sorry I shouldn't laugh but it is rather like taking your new car to the grocery store, you know it is going to get dinged by a basket you just don't know how and when and I guess your new room had to get christened a little bit early. I am so sorry that your beautiful room has been through the mill this week but I am sure it looks lovely again now with the new sheetrock and paint. I hope your hubs is okay and you too!! It never rains but it pours!!Sending a hug!!

You've had a bad time lately. If his knee gives out occasionally, wouldn't it be in his best interest to use a cane for a while? I hope that things turn around next week for the better.

No, his knees never give out. He actually has very strong legs. He twisted his knee when he tried to break his fall into the wall. The reason he fell was due to walking backwards, and his shoe slipped off.

Well thank goodness you didn't jump off the roof!! Are you ok from your fall - and oh my gosh, I nearly fell of the chair hearing that your hubby fell into a wall! Perhaps it was actually a good thing that the wall broke his fall . . . better than completely putting all his weight onto the floor. Hope things are going smoother this week!

We are all better, except for my husband's knee, which is almost better. You are right. The wall kept my hubby from falling on that hard floor. He was lucky not to hit a stud in the wall, too. Thank you and xox!

When I saw the photo, I thought you were going to say you got so angry that you punched a hole in the wall! I would have been like, "Damn, Dianne, you go girl!" lol Sorry you had to go through all that. Like the saying goes, "when it rains it pours!" But just think, you will have some good stories to tell in future years!
