My first succulent way back 2006. Its just now that I realized that itwas six years ago that I started collecting cacti and succulent. Its just this year that I returned caring for them for I guess 3 years of rest. The reason I stopped colleciong cacti and succulents is because of the hens and chickens and rooseters that my housemate brought home. I was devasted one day when I came home saw all of them with leaves eaten by the hens and company. I cried and got discouraged and broken hearted and promised to leave collecting. I had several cacti and a couple of succulents, and I have invested time and effort taking care and pampering only to be eaten by some animal. I was not able to fight a good figth since I gave up. They say that love is sweeter the second time around, and after I got married last January 30, 2016 and moved here in Talisay City Cebu, I have decided to revive the hobby through facebook and with the help of the society. I was able to connect to friends with same passion and same interest and its an inspiration. I get to meet new friends and learn a lot about cacti and succulents and hope to learn a more, explore more, discover and share more.

@Zelmarq That seems like a great hobby to have. I wonder why cacti are called succulents. I've always imagined a succulent fruit like a nice, sour, sweet and juicy mango but not a cactus. By the way do you have any pictures of your cacti and succulents that you may like to share?
