I remembered

I have a situation where I am easily forgotten. I have had this problem since I was a child. I do not know how many times I was forgotten about and left behind when having to go somewhere. I am talking to a person who has had the same issue, we have talked a few times but he does not seem to remember me much, but I remembered him really well. I try and remember people because I know what it is like to be forgotten. It is a sucky feeling. I never want people to have that feeling.

I remember faces better than names. But, even so, as we age, so does our memory. I often approach people and say hello and they stare at me like they don't know who I am. The joke is sometimes on me when I realize it isn't who I thought them to be. We both laugh at that point.

@DesirousDreamer I'd rather take a chance and say hello than not to say hello and regret it.

@ElusiveButterfly That is true. Just make sure you do not say hello "name" haha that might be embarrassing if you get the name wrong.

Hello Can I ask who forgot about you? I think I might have been forgotten about as well although it might have been I was neglected rather than forgotten. I was quite often not picked up after school when I should have been and other things as well that I was reminded off reading your Post

Oh just people, old friends and such. And being left behind it would be my dad and step mother. Thankfully I took the bus home so I did not have to fear about being left behind haha

@DesirousDreamer . . You mean your family unintentionally leave you behind when you all go to attend parties or important events?! That's awful! My wife and I never forget each other when we leave the house . . but she keeps leaving behind her personal stuff . . One Sunday while already in the church attending Holy Mass (Unfortunately, we are catholics) . . I noticed when she was singing that her dentures were missing. I whispered . . "Don't open wide your mouth . . you got no dentures!"

Oh no! Haha, I will never understand how people can forget their teeth or their glasses, things that they need! haha And yeah, I remember I was left behind at a concert once and I got to talk to the band members while I waited for my family to come back haha so I guess it wasn't all too bad.

@DesirousDreamer This one is awful . . . When I was 4th year college and graduating we had drinking party with some of my classmates. I was drunk. That was Sunday and the following day I still had to attend my final classes. I woke up late with a bit of hangover . . ate my breakfast . . took the shower fast .. . and dressed up very quickly. I was already seated in the classroom for about 5 minutes when I noticed something was missing inside my pants . . I forgot to put on my underwear! Whew!
