Sometimes You Gotta Laugh

So at 1am Sunday morning I gather my dog and some (a lot) laundry, and drive over to the home of my dad and his wife. They are out of town so I didn't have to worry about waking them. I had not planned that late night/early morning trip, but a problem I have been having at my apartment happened again. So from 1:30 to about 4am I did laundry. The "problem" at my apartment left me with a lot of laundry. My dog was not happy with me, poor thing. She likes rare trips to my dad's house, but not to sleep at. And I couldn't go home until Sunday afternoon. Another issue last week and this week was getting a pain management doctor. My primary care physician no longer wants to do pain management so I have to find a pain management clinic. Easier said than done! So many places didn't take my insurance, and many others had a limit on taking patients with my insurance. I was met with the same reason each time it didn't work out: it's Obama Care. I won't go into detail, because it's not relevant. However, the hoops I have to jump through, and the incompetence of several medical places has just made me laugh. It looks like I may have to get a couple MRIs simply because one doctor's office can't find them. Oh, insurance will not be happy. But I found my old pain management clinic and got an appointment with them. Anyway, I have just laughed. It's not getting me down, I'm just grateful. I think the whole thing is teaching me a lot. I think I'm patient, but it's teaching me even more patience. I feel sorry for the people in the doctor's offices. They don't want to be incompetent; they are understaffed, and the government keeps changing the insurance policies. In the long run so many people have bigger issues. Share with me some of your life's situations that just make you surrender to laughter.

This is one reason I watch comedy shows or late night shows.

I'll tune in to a late night rerun of The Golden Girls to get some comic relief!

I don't have anything that I can really laugh about. I'm glad that you're maintaining your sense of humor over all of this, it sounds trying.

We just got insurance when my husband retired in December 2015. Than when we got to Oregon we found out that insurance did not work in Oregon. So we changed insurance. Than that insurance is no longer taken in Oregon. Now four months later we have to get new insurance again. What a mess.

I hope you're able to find the right pain clinic... my dad has had quite the struggle finding one, too

I'm glad you were able to laugh at life's foibles. I can't think of a situation at the moment that made me laugh in wonder.
