I have posted a few times about a local skunk that keeps finding its way into my yard and interrupting my sleep with its aroma. I have decided to name the critter Petunia. However, I'm still hoping it will go back to the woods and stay out of my yard.

That's hilarious. Maybe if we name them they will return to their wild side and go away.

@crazyhorseladycx I can't imagine trapping one without getting sprayed. It's good he was able to find a safer location for them.

@clrumfelt i dunno, the hubs finally trapped the lil family one by one 'n hauled out further'n the country where there's'n abandoned farmhouse. they got prone to gettin' startled by the neighbors pup who now lives here 'n'd let's know 'f their displeasure from 'nderneath the house....

Sorry to hear about Petunia interupting your sleep. Hopefully it goes back to the woods and stays gone.

IsnĀ“t there a way to make your garden a place not so liked by it? I remember that once I had to put pepper in my front garden to stop neighbor cats to poo over my seedlings.

The smell is so strong I think it must sit right by my bedroom window or something. It came on the porch one night eating cat food we left out for the cat. So we don't leave food out there anymore but it may still come looking for it perhaps.

They are beautiful annoying little critters and pretty stinky. I don't envy you to have Petunia hanging around.

Cats seem to migrate to my family for some reason and skunks are felines so it makes sense somehow.
