Milk or water? That would be the question..

I decided to make something sweet to drink. I make hot chocolate with marshmallows. I had to make mine with water being that I can't drink that kind of milk they have. I love mine made with extra sugar and milk. I will sip a little of this but surly I can't finish it. This is a double sized mug too.

Sounds good. I can't stand it with water... Has to be milk for me in hot chocolate and tomato soup. My mom always made it with water, and I hated it.

Those commercially packaged packs of hot cocoa with mini-marshmallows is YUCK; if you really want a great hot chocolate drink made with real milk go buy a can of Hersheys Dark Chocolate powder, some raw granulated cane sugar, lowfat milk (or almond milk) and a teaspoon of vanilla extract !

I prefer using milk. I do however use Lactaid milk. No Lactose. And it is fine. Actually it is creamier than the regular milk. No sugar for me. Equal only. Being diabetic has it's draw backs. But equal is real good. Actually sweeter than sugar.

I love hot chocolate, but usually reserve it for the winter months. Soon now I'll take it out of the cupboard and mix and pour and drink to great satisfaction.

@sharon6345 I've never enjoyed it with water. I always add milk to my hot chocolate, even if the container says add water. It tastes so much better.

@sharon6345 can't say as I blame ya. I have tried using coffee creamer to lighten it up and it is more doable.

Is it regular milk or a nut/soy milk? It's a bit too cool for hot cocoa over here. I have mine with water via Keurig.

@sharon6345 I don't like hot chocolate. Never had it with water but no doubt I wouldn't like that either lol This might be a dumb question, but does the marshmallow melt a bit in the hot chocolate? Or do you just pick it out to eat once it's all gooey and chocolatey?
