Sunday and Chocolates

My husband has been at a conference in Paris this week. He came back bearing gifts and one particularly welcome treat was this box of mini-chocolate bars. I think they are almost (almost, but not quite) too pretty to break into and eat. I'm sure I will manage it though. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday. We went for a run this morning but my husband's leg injury played up again and I encountered him limping along. I think he finds it frustrating because he really does want to run, but every time he returns to it after a rest, the same thing happens. He'll probably cheer up later as we're going to our local Indian buffet tonight. That's assuming we can get a table. It's very popular on a Sunday night. What have you all been up to today?

We brought back chocolates from Maxim's in pretty tins and left them closed. We later found out that the cleaning woman ate them all!!!!

@diannen what?! i would be mad and feel betrayed, doesn't matter if it's chocolate, money, a vase or a teddy bear.

Oh, chocolates! You're one lucky lady! This day, I finished the laundry, cooked some lunch for us, and then studied some lessons for next week's class. I have to stop though because my head refuses to absorb any material anymore and so I decided to hang out here in the living room while mylotting and watching some youtube videos. Gotta make sure I stay hydrated so I have my water with me as well. Then I plan to jump in to the elliptical and get my hour of cardio since I did not do any yesterday. Then possibly convince the boyfriend to go to the movies with me or take a walk. We cannot do anything tonight that will take a while since we have an early start tomorrow.

Not completely sure, but I think it is dark chocolate : we eat these small chocolates with coffee.

Those are really too nice, but they would spoil if left closed, I think it's better that you eat them.

@5thHouse No, just a couple at a time. We call those small chocolates "Napolitains", because they are offered with the espresso.

@LadyDuck I always like to have a little bit of chocolate with a cup of coffee. It's got to the point where I find it difficult to drink coffee without it.

You're right. I should definitely eat them - but not all at once, I hope.

Nothing better than chocolate from Paris. Makes me nostalgic for my trips there.

Only the French could make chocolate look as stylish as this! I was very envious and would've loved to have gone to Paris too. 4 years since I was last there.

I do love a good chocolate. Are these from different areas? There is a brace people can use on their knees. I think it is called Tommy Copper.

Chocolate is always welcomed by most people. We went out to lunch, but I've not done much else.

I agree that some chocolates can look almost too good to eat but I always manage to persuade myself otherwise too.

The wrappers are beautiful. The chocolate must be so good. Enjoy the chocolate and your meal at the Indian buffet. I was just out picking up a few things and now we are preparing a nice Sunday dinner.

Oo! Indian buffet you say? I wish I could come with. I love curry. Those chocolates are so pretty! Chocolate , esp. pretty chocolate is a nice gift. My (now ex) Fiance brought me a chocolate with a painting by Gustav Klimt on it from Vienna once.
