OK. Looks like I've going to have to be the “nasty woman” and put on a “Hillary Clinton hat”. I've been at this site for a little over a year. Love it here!! The people at this site are very nice. Do know how I know that they are very nice? Because I can't tell you how many times I've seen “Mr. or Ms. New Member” start their first discussion by asking the same questions. What is this site about? How do you make money? How does it work here? Most of the time, many older users who have been here for a while, probably much longer than me, respond kindly and try to give you – the new member - a little push so you can be active here too. But you know what? Try to imagine those 3 questions being asked over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over … And the patient and kind respondents being courteous and respectfully answering them over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over … Yeah! That's what it's like! I'm being honest. You can interpret me as being nasty. But I'm at the point now that when I see a discussion written with those questions, I ignore it! I don't own this site. I don't have any “authority”. But there's a Help page written by the site owners. When you decided to create your account you must have already had some kind of idea what you were going to be doing here. The other members won't say this because they are too nice! So I'm saying it! * * * Dear New Member: You are very welcome here. This is a special request. Can you please start your first discussion with … anything else but those 3 questions? Thank you. * * * P.S. Hope you like the illustration. I happen to like vintage hats and vintage art. That's one fact about me. Why not start your first discussion by sharing one fact about you? That's how easy it is to get started at this site, make friends and earn money!

Good point as all anyone needs to know is in the FAQ section :-)

The newbie should have gone to the Earnings Program of this site and read up on it.

Yes, I love the picture and the hat. I have seen those questions so many times. I wonder why people do not explore the site and read the help and the FAQ before asking stupid questions.

Great post. I wonder why they don't read the guidelines and the help stuff. Then they wouldn't need to ask those three questions.

This actually makes a lot of sense... when i had just joined the site i made an effort to read the guidelines and check out a discussions for a day or two before i wrote my first post. It seemed like the obvious thing to do....but it doesn't seem to be that for most people...they want to spare themselves the time to read and understand before they start. And it is not like mylot does not suggest it when we make an account. people just rush through it in the hurry to get here. Having said that, i DO sometimes answer their questions...but with me it depends on my mood......i do scroll over those questions more these days. But i know some mylotter will be there to help them out...there are enough of us here who do that...so those questions do get answered anyway.

On point! People think they can just sign up with the site and waltz in to get paid lots of money.

What else is new? I bet I had the same question back in 2008. But I don't remember, probably not. It's our task to tell how people mylot interact. Can''t blame them since they're new. Unless it's a new account made by an old troll.
