@Ronrybs commented on my last photo of a kangaroo saying he looked like all he needed was a beer and he'd be set to watch TV. So I told him I'd post about a really laid-back 'roo. This was one of five or six in a large pen at a caravan park in Erldunda which is almost the exact centre of Australia.
The main species in this region is the 'red kangaroo'. As the name suggests, the fur is reddish in colour. They have a Roman nose and I don't think they are as pretty as our western grey local roos. The red kangaroo is the largest living marsupial and can stand six feet tall when erect and a couple of feet more if they get up on their toes. I had to take the photo through the mesh fence.
Obviously this one's mother never mentioned the word 'modest' to him.

Yep, he is totally chilling out isn't he? I have another post coming up soon about a mountain devil which is another very interesting creature.

That is hilarious, the "roo" is showing off his junk.. I'm going to look for your other post now. My computer was driving me crazy but today all is well so I will spend some time here today.

Some of the big males can get aggressive. This one was behind a fence. Mostly they are quite gentle unless teased or mistreated.
