A Man Who Asks For My Help Then Goes Missing and Silent, What To Do?

What happened to him? Was he in need of my help? Was he hiding behind something of just a liar in need of quick money? These are questions that have been revolving in my mind since we parted ways with a promise for a call to confirm how the situation was. How It Happened! The guy came to me with needs that only a doctor could have resolved. Of course, I said I was ready to take him to hospital provided he agreed to my offer. He then said we should do it the following day since it was already late evening hours. He promised to call me to schedule to meet and kick off for the hospital. The following day, I waited for his call from morning till evening. The damned silence prompted me to make the call which he refused to answer. I waited and made three other attempts but still the phone rang until automatic hang up. The next day, I tried once more and the end results were the same. I gave up! Obviously, he saw my missed calls if we assume that he was not available to handle the calls. Oops! He is very active on Facebook --- he does access FB on his phone-- meaning he is just ignoring my calls. I don't wanna ambush him on FB... What should I do? I wonder if I did something wrong to him or he is just being a coward. Put on my shoes and have your say...

Did you give money to him? If yes, make sure he understands he has to repay.

No, I did not give him any because he did not ask for it. Maybe he wanted me to assume his indirect request and help in terms of monetary assistance and because this did not happen, he chose to go quiet on me.

Good advice @ourlot but some of these con artists are really good at the craft . . . and don't feel repayment is necessary because somehow they are owed assistance-- hello btw

I have put on your shoes and I would contact him both on FB and his phone since he obviously needs some sort of help. It is frustrating and I know what you are feeling. Yesterday evening had to pick up mom at the bus station cause she missed the one that would take her to another station where her vehicle was to get home, in the waiting this guy got off another bus coming from another location and started walking around the parking lot where me and my car and other drivers waiting for public transportation people who would be needing their ride. Too make a long story short, he asked me to open my window and talk to me. I did and when he rubbed his stomach moaning he is homeless and has not eaten anything for days, I promptly responded well I saw you get out of the bus so you had money for riding around town, why didn't you feed yourself with that money instead ? He looked appalled, mumbled something about God getting me and I reminded him gently well sir God/Goddess does not like a liar or a fool . . . I know I am too candid @waflay but some just need to be put on the straight and narrow no matter how hurtful it may seem, yes ? So if I were you, just try again and if he still does not pick up his phone, at least you tried

Thanks for your suggestion @enlightenedpsych2 ... I will give him the last shot tomorrow and see if he has changed his mind or not. People should just grow up and face the reality instead of giving unnecessary headache to the innocent.
