Late Halloween post

I know I am kind of late. Sorry! Been sort of busy with my real life.
I was almost dreading Halloween because my son hates hats and costumes in general. My husband and I bought him a tiger costume, which everyone thought was adorable by the way, but of course he griped and didn't want to wear the ears.
So I pretty much bribed him with lollipops for most of the night. He had a hard time holding the loli in his mouth with his bucket and holding our hand as well so he'd stay close and not run out in the street.
We had a pretty good haul that night. We went out for about an hour from 7-8 when it was fairly busy with all the kids out. I would have liked to have stayed out longer because who doesn't like free candy, but it was getting close to his bed time and he was getting fussy.
We said our goodbyes to my in-laws and younger nieces. When we got home my son FINALLY ate some dinner since he didn't want any before we went out. Go figure.

Well, at least he had his fun, must have been hard to finish the lollipop when he's out there trying to have fun and get candies.

I grew up in NYC in the 1960s and I loved going trick or treating with my mom but it meant going around apartment buildings. Actually I would have loved living in a small town and going trick or treating from house to house like I see in the movies.
