It is always there

I find myself in this situation a lot. It is always lovely when you are working on something with a pencil, a needle, a crochet hook, and you put it down for a minute or even a few seconds and then you go to continue your work and it is missing. I just had that situation happen to me. I was unraveling yarn so I put my crochet hook down. I finally got out enough yarn that I needed and I go to reach down and my hook is no where to be seen. I was so confused because it did not make any sense, I did not get up to unravel the yarn, I was sitting the same spot in the same position that I was before, where are earth did it go? I am searching around, I find all the odds and ends on my bed, the plus side of not having a partner sleep with you is that your full size mattress the second half become a shelf. I am lifting up my notebooks and I found pencils and shirts and it is no where to be seen. I even when to bouts of asking my stuffed panda, Mikey, as to where the crochet hook was. Normally if I ask him, I find it within a few seconds. This was not the case. I was tossing around blankets, shaking them out, nothing. I moved around and felt under my legs a few times because normally if you are missing something it goes under your leg. Nothing. I finally got up. And low and behold. It did happen to fall under my leg I just could not feel it because it is so small. Ahh, it is always there! It is always in the place where you know where it is but cannot see it. Grrr

Well crochet hooks are not like knitting needles, they cannot really roll that well because of the hook part.

@DesirousDreamer .....That's true. Knitting needles have the ends on them that stop them too.

I've had that happen to me. It's surreal. It makes me think of ghostly things.

It is rather odd haha perhaps things randomly teleport to a random dimension for a few seconds and then come back.

I am glad that you found it and you are lucky to have a friend like Mikey. My favorite animal is a panda!

Finally the lost item appeared. That happens to many of us. I´ve had the same experience with some of my own items in the past

I'm glad you found it. That's happened to me a few times, not with crochet hooks as I don't crochet, knit or any of that stuff, but pens yes.

Haha my desk is a mess too but I cannot work at it since there is kind of a cave in around that area where my chair is because my ex was too aggressive when he sat down.
