Are you good at games?

Back in the day, back when Tetris was "king" of games. All right, it was later than that, but before there were as many games out there... Anyway, I learned I was really good at Tetris. But did some dumb game, like Tetris, have any use in real life? Actually, it was the other way around. I was good at Tetris, because I was good at something in real life. I'm good at packing a lot of stuff in a, relatively, small space. My mother wanted something packed right, she called me. Heck, we managed to get everything she wanted to bring back from her condo in Colorado when she sold it, in her Accord, in 1 trip. Granted, there was only me in the car, because Mom had to stay an extra day, actually 2 days, to sign the paperwork. What made me think of this? Well, tonight I loaded my pills. I have a weekly pill organizer like this one: However, I only take pills in the morning and the evenings, and I forget the morning ones more than half the time. So, instead of just loading the evening/bedtime pills in the ordained spot, I load them in the noon, eve and bed slots. I take 3 large pills - magnesium, calcium citrate + D and a vitamin pill; my two scripts and benedryl after I eat my evening meal. To fit them all in the space allowed, I have to pack them in very carefully. In fact, I've taken to using tweezers to get some of them in place. I do put the morning pills in the morning slot and, should I actually take them all before the end of the evening pills, they are easily reloaded. But I was good at Tetris for the very reason I can get all these pills into this case. How about you? Is there some real life thing you are good at that makes you also good at some electronic game?

I loved Tetris and I was very good at that game. I remember that I bought a portable player (called Game Boy) and I have played Tetris on my flight from France to Los Angeles during all the 12 hours trip. I got out of the plane that I felt drunk.

After a few hours of playing, I spend the next few trying to fit real life into rows... Yeah, and I once played too long and my eyes hurt. Maggiepie, who isn't on now, had a Game Boy... she'd have to play it with it plugged in she'd play so much.

@LadyDuck ahhh, that works on the plane, she'd be sitting someplace in the house playing, so plugging in was easier...

@ElicBxn I always took with me extra batteries, because the Game Boy used normal AA batteries.

I'm not good at letting go of stuff, which is why I have a shed farm in the back yard.

Yeah, some people just don't easily "see" the connection and don't look to the next piece to see if it will fit easily in the place you working with. I'm always following other people who have thrown dishes in the dishwasher and proceed to put a third to twice as much as they have put in.

I just want to say that this is a great idea and awesome. You have a really great thing going haha. I am not sure I do anything in real life that came from a game. I wanted to let you know that this is pretty cool.

Thanks! I was always good at putting things in place, except "stuff." I'm not good a "stuff" getting into the right place, which is, of course, why I have "stuff" every where except where it belongs.
