Christmas Lights: Decorations are being put up!

United States
November 5, 2016 11:39am CST
Not my house, but as I was driving home - I saw many homes lit with Christmas lights already! It's beautiful to see that everyone is getting into Christmas mode. I still can't believe the holidays are just around the corner. Then it'll be 2017 soon! Time surely is flying by quickly. Do you put up Christmas decorations inside, outside both? I'll be putting up my mini Christmas tree soon.

Here, I adorn with Christmas decorations in and out of the house. It deserves the effort because Christmas only happens once a year

I decorate inside, outside and the dog too! LOL. We will put light up outside mid-Nov. (won't turn them on) but like to get them up before it gets cold. The tree usually Thanksgiving evening or the next day since we don't shop Black Friday. Santa landed at a few malls today - parades, the whole 9 yards...too early for that for me. Tree stays up until January 8th - Russian Christmas.

It's a bit early for the stores to put out Christmas stuff seems like they passed right to Christmas and not thanksgiving I didn't see many thanksgiving decorations! Not that I decorate for thanksgiving though! I'm sure your home will look lovely during the holidays. Do you usually celebrate with any family or friends?

@infatuatedbby We have no family here and we just stick with each other...too many so called friends we've met down here turned out not to really be friends. We have Ruby and that's enough for us!

Playing of Christmas songs on radio stations and in many houses starts as early as September in the Philippines and local government units start putting Christmas decorations in their city and town plazas. Homes are adorned with Christmas decors as early as October too. And some even observe the old tradition of putting away the Christmas decors after February 2.

That's fast! I thought decorations will only start in December. I can't believe 2017 is coming soon, and this year seems to past very quickly. I don't really celebrate Christmas, but I am thinking if I should plan something for/with my kids this year.

It seems it is earlier! But anyway, it is good to see that! I don't put up Christmas decorations because it is not our official festival. I ever thought about buying a little mini Christmas tree at home but then I thought about how to deal with it after Christmas? I don't want to add one more rubbish. So I give up my plan.

Yes, it isn't our religion but we celebrate anyway. We have a small tree at my parents' Mini. My boyfriend and I bought a big Christmas tree. We put it once up and that was it. Too much of a hassle lol :)

I need to get Christmas decorations. I threw all of them out when I moved. I have a larger living room, but I still don't know where I'm going to put the tree. I'll figure that out in the next couple weeks.
