Rioting and Protesting....

We went out of town on my hubby's days off, this week his days off were Wednesday and Thursday. It was one of those trips that we (or maybe it was just me) didn't really know where or what we were doing until we were on the road and headed off!! While we were gone, we got to see one of the children and just had time to ourselves. Every once and a while I think a break away from home is needed. When you come back you can appreciate more of what you have. Anyways, was reading and seeing things on the internet about how people were rioting and protesting because their candidate didn't win. Now maybe it's because I'm grown up and have had jobs and have had children, but what does one think they are going to gain by rioting and protesting?? If you don't like what happened maybe you should have done something BEFORE!! But what are you gaining by burning things and by robbing some one going to gain you? Just because things didn't turn out the way that you wanted. Apparently some one didn't tell you, that some times life isn't fair!!!! Get over it and move on!! ~Peace~ photo courtesy of pixabay

Rioting and protesting over the results of a democratic election is disturbing. The voice of the people has been heard. Is that not good enough?

I don't think it's going to solve anything except get people hurt. It's not smart at all.

Rioting is just plain stupid. So your person didn't win...is rioting going to change anything??? Maybe a peaceful protest in favour of electoral reform will be productive but rioting is for fools. Also, they're rioting/protesting trumps election victory based on what he has said not what he has done. It was reported last night that a member of his team said a lot of what he said was campaign shtick...so I'll be waiting for his first hundred days and that'll give an indication of his intent.
