every word in the world isn't enough, to pay the debts made...

Not everyone can stand and serve, some must stay back and preserve what is left behind when boots march out but know of this without a doubt, our love goes with. For those who today we thank with pride, many are gone, tears long since dried, every word in the world isn't enough, to pay the debts made from the stuff, they and theirs had to deal with.

Unfortunately it is the way of things, peace is something we will never see

@Jessicalynnt I disagree and really wish the totalitarian mindset (all or nothing, no room for compromise) just stopped taking over some peoples thought processes . . .

why thank you, I wrote it for one particular one, but also for those of us who quietly cry at home, while they do what they must.

Well written. We certainly owe our veterans - and those currently serving - a great debt of gratitude.

and we owe some strength to those left behind, that job isn't easy either. they may not serve, but their strength and love goes with those that do

@Jessicalynnt Definitely. What's the old saying? 'They also serve who only stand and wait' although I think they did/do a bit more than standing.
