Not My Responsibility

How other hotels are run or how clean a housekeeper is, is NOT my responsibility. I am only responsible for my work. I'm rather tired of the hypocrisy I see when people are so down on hotel and whether or not a bed has been made but will still sit down and eat food at a restaurant without a thought in the world. They don't even question the safety of the food. You know how many people have died sleeping on dirty sheets? Zero. How many have gotten sick or died from tainted food? According to the CDC 1 in 6 gets ill every year. I'm not condoning housekeepers who don't do their job but rather calling people out on their hypocrisy. So, unless you are will to start going into the kitchens of restaurants to check out the safety of the food (we've already found out from a certain unnamed franchise that the visits from the health department are no guarantee) stop accusing every hotel. And don't be sending me suggestions to read articles about dirty sheets.

I can't believe someone sent a suggestion about an article on dirty sheets. It would be funny if it wasn't such an insult.

it would be a simpler world of everyone did there own duties properly. This kind of a world only exists in imagination now.

Well, there are hotels and there are hotels. Some are good and clean while others are not. Same with restaurants.
