Do you defragment your computer everyday?

defragment can be done once or twice in a month.don't keep on defragmenting your computer.Its not good for its health.

I am a computer technician with degrees in microcomputer suport and repair. How often you defragment your drive really depends on what you use it for. If you dont do a lot of deleting and adding of things, it is going to need to be defragmented more often. I recomment to most of my customers to defrag monthly. I personally do it more. I saw in one response that someone said not to do it daily because it is hard on the computer. Actually that isnt quite correct. I dont know if you have ever defraged and then turned around and did it again immediately. Since it has nothing to do, it is done in no time at all. There are actually some defrag utilities that can be purchased that can defrag for you daily using a schedule. I defrag only once in one year or twice a year as i feel that defragging will consume a lot of time to finish and will clash with my timings and schedules a lot.

i do once time a week... but i notice that if I use Emule my hd become fragmently very soon

nope it take a ccouple of hours so may be once in a month

i should do it more often but i really don't. i run it about once a month along with a few other anti-spyware programs
