Work Wants me to Dress Up!

The CEO of our company is supposed to be touring OUR STORE on Thursday. I'm about to pee myself with nervousness. I just got a text from my boss asking me to dress up a little on Thursday. I DON'T OWN DRESS UP CLOTHES! I own jeans, and t-shirts. I work in jeans and t-shirts! I don't have any money to go out and buy some dress-up clothes! Not even sure how to deal with this situation right now! I hope I don't disappoint the boss! Am I the only person without any dress-up clothes?

Nope. I'm a chunky girl. All my friends and family are much smaller than me.

@nonersays I'd go with simple. Do you have like a collared shirt and nice pair of pants maybe?

I guess there is dress-up and dress-up. I do have slacks and cotton shirts so I guess I'd go for that. Hope you find something. And if you're a good employee, don't worry about it.

I don't even have slacks. I do have a dress, but my job isn't really a dress friendly job. I'm not going to get in trouble for wearing my every day work clothes, but would like to make an impression on the CEO.

we were asked to dress up, too, when we have visitors coming. if you can't borrow from family due to size, how about from friends, neighbors? just a nicer shirt, with a collar maybe, and darker jeans, not faded?

Borrow something? Thrift shop? Really it should be ok to wear your usual work clothes

I'm not going to get in trouble if I just wear my work clothes, but I'd like to make an impression on the CEO.
