Hey, Little Buddy! I Really Need to Clean the Bathtub!

I went to clean the bathtub this morning, but a little critter seems to delight in being in that bathtub of mine. I have checked periodically to see if he has vacated the bathtub, but so far, he is still there. I have alerted the bathtub-loving critter that I will be cleaning that bathtub at 2 p.m. today. I told him I will gently remove him with a paper towel and place him ever-so-carefully outside. I also alerted the little critter to the fact that the weather outside is unseasonably warm. I think it important to fill him in on the removal procedure to reduce any stress he may experience when I show up with paper towel in hand. Photo: Bathtub-Loving Critter

Oh yes, I carry all bugs out of the house. He has more life to live, so I let him have at it.

A silverfish? I think they are pests like ants or cockroaches. If I see one down the drain they go.

I thought he was a silverfish, but research makes me think he is a centipede due to all those legs of his. He is outdoors now living life to the fullest, I hope.

@Corbin5 Nope, it's a silverfish. I'll try to find a house centipede photo, I've had a couple show up here.

Oh, not always @Corbin5 we get ours via Mexico and I've heard they have the really big ones. Their sting is toxic and can make a person really really sick.

I believe it is a centipede. Nice little fellow he is, but sure was hard catching him and placing him outdoors. He moves fast.

yer bein' awfully kind to a silverfish, my friend. though i can tell ya from personal 'xperience, they don't move too well via a paper towel. 'nstead, they kinda turn to a powdery mush?? i hope that such vacated the area. don't recall what causes those lil darlin's outside 'f a water source?

I doubt that he understood a word you said. He might know you mean him no harm from the tone of your voice. I would put him outside, too.
