Luxurious but fancy mobile phones

Many of the young people love to show off their expensive, modern phone in the public. really there is no problem in it. But there is a hidden fact in those. Most of these boys and girls don't earn so how can they afford to buy them. No doubts more often these must be bought by their parents and offered them. These young people don't know how much their parents struggle to earn a single penny. Do you believe that presenting a child an expensive and fancy mobile phone is good especially when they are having their education at the moment??

It's all about the parenting... Side parents let's their children know the value of money.. For eg mine. My father was very open with the expenses happening in our house, the earnings we had for our home.. Also he always taught me the importance of saving, if we are buying anything we got to make sure that it's useful and not going to go waste. Even I have one smart phone... But.. I know how to value stuffs. (But, my parents value things a bit more than I do... It's really nice to learn 'how to value' from them..:) )

Everyones situation is different. And 'young' people - how old would you classify young? Plus now a days some even opt for payment option to make their bill seem less expensive too.

@kevinakash 13 and older is common to have smart phones. Even much younger... Now a days you hardly see basic phones available as an option. Plus they get added to their parents' phone plan for like $10 extra a line. And with kidnapping and child's safely some parents feel obligated to give their children a phone. I had a phone at a young age but during my time smart phones weren't in until high school.. I had a phone because I walked home from school and needed it for emergencies. It's best to limit usage if they're young and take it away if they're not keeping up grades etc And sometimes if they don't have the same as other kids they can rebel.. It all depends on the situation!

It depends from child to child...all kids are different. It is their parents decision and their ability to decide whether their kids will take undue advantage of it or take it as a precious gift and return it back through their efforts

yes now from these comments i came to know that this is very much dependent on their family background. thanks for telling me that.
