Unbelievable!

I wrote about the dreadful Croydon tram crash as my parents live near that line so I had to go and be with them last week. I just saw someone posted a video of another driver sleeping between stops on the same line. The week before yet another tram on that line lifted of the tracks and scared the passengers. It might be a convenient way to travel but I do not want my mum and dad using the tram any more. Thankfully they can also go into Croydon on a bus.

This is a worry. Once, train drivers had things to do that would have kept them occupied and, hopefully, awake. Now I guess they mostly just sit and supervise all the automatic stuff. I'm glad your parents are able to take the bus.

It is a tram that had the accident, not a reain. Normally trams are safe but now they are saying drivers have ridiculous shifts on the tram.

@Jackalyn Sorry. I did know it was a tram but we don't have them here - only in Melbourne I think - and when you mentioned 'tracks' my mind just switched tracks (!) to trains.

That is a series of unfortunate events.

It is terrible and one has to wonder why it is all the same line.

I don't blame you for not wanting them to use the tram. They will be much safer on the bus.
