Newspaper Cartoons

in our local newspapers many international cartoons are published.
Fortunately most of these cartoons do not have political jokes.
But sometimes i couldn't understand some cartoons.
Some of those that are published are Cornered, Rubes, Garfield, BC, Calvin & Hobbes etc.
I can easily understand MOM and Calvin & Hobbes often but others are not easy.
Wht may be the problem with it?
Anyway i should admit here that those teach me a lot of vocabulary related to informal language which urge me to read them more

I'm not familiar with a lot of the ones you mentioned, I don't look at the comics anymore so I'm not sure what ones are fun and what ones aren't. I like political Cartoons but they usually are not funny...

yes here we have local political cartoons that are funny. often they make me laugh. but as i mentioned i recently started to look and read international cartoons. speaking honest that is to improve my English
