Not all kids have contact with their grandparents. I was one of them. I think if it's at all possible it's a good thing. Grandparents have a load of love an cookies to share. They have all the wonderful stories of your parent as a child as well. They also have unlimited amount of hugs. Who would not want that. Grandparents rock.

If you have forgotten to look after your grandparents pls be nice and kind to them..because they have a massive experience about the life than we have

@sharon6345 yes in Asian ccountries i think thankfully this is often done i mean looking after the grandparents. more often people older than 60 don't need to do jobs bcs they are looked after by the youth. but i'm not sure how many years this will last in the future. isn't there a kind of deterioration of moral values?

@kevinakash It's a cultural shift, not a deterioration of moral values.

As a grandparent I agree. I too was kept from a grandparent and wish I had known them. My Grandmother did not want him in her life and as a chikd I got really upset about it.

My grandfather on my dad's side I never knew. He passed away before I was born. My other three grandparents were a huge part of my life. They lived up til I was in my 20s. I have so many wonderful memories of the times we spent together.

I'm sorry you missed out on enjoying grandparents. Maybe your daughter will have children later and you will be a fantastic grandma! My paternal grandparents lived too far away to see them much, but my maternal grandmother "Grannie" was a big part of my life. She was so funny and loved to sing in church. Maybe that's why I love to sing in church myself.

I saw my grandparents, but it was generally on holidays. We saw my dad's parents more than my mother's but I liked my mother's parent's more..They had a lot of goodness...so did my dad's parents.but I think they didn't like me too much.

That is nice that you at least got to know them. If anything happened you would be able to have that.
