Some of the malls in this Christmas season offer free gift wrap whenever you purchase anything from them. From appliances to toys, to kitchen and bathroom utensils, it is a free gift wrap for the customers. However, the downside is you have to wait for your turn. There are many customers requesting for gift wrap and this is a first come, first serve basis. You may have to fall in line a few minutes to take advantage of the free gift wrap.

That's very nice to have the free gift wrap. I like this service a lot. But it seems this service is not available here most of the time. They need to charge you some fees to wrap the gifts.

@youless I think there is a famous mall here that offers free gift wrap all year round. The owner is the richest man in the Philippines.

A common problem with shops offering gift wrapping is that they may use one with their logo on it. I think that if you wrap gifts by yourself you show more care. However I understand how convenient it is to get your gifts wrapped by malls, especially if free and if the wrapping design is classical/plain/impersonal. It would take a few minutes to buy the materials and wrap the gift yourself anyway. And maybe you would get a worse result too. So, in my opinion, it mainly depends on the pattern/presence of logos and such.

@sabtraversa The free gift wrap here does not include the mall logos. The wrapper designs looks sophisticated. I chose a gold wrapper and a rich red color wrapper.

@ms1864 I also love to do the gift wrapping. However, if I am too busy, I ended up requesting it in the malls.

I've never used free gift wrap from the stores. I prefer to wrap my own gifts.
