Time For My New Glasses

Later on this morning I have to go to see my optician and get tested for my new glasses. Those glasses are the ones needed after the cataract surgeries that I just had. I hope he won't put those awful drops to dilate the pupils as they are such a pain. The "not seeing well" effect after last for hours. I wonder how much the new glasses are going to cost? I don't want to put to much money on those right now. Not looking forward to the appointment but will be happy when it's done. I guess it will take about a week before I get the new glasses. Forgot to write that it is snowing lightly here right now.

Good luck getting your new glasses. I hope they help you to see perfectly and don't cost you a small fortune. It's the frames you choose that can make them costly. It flurried here today, but it didn't stick. It is cold and blustery. Even Doodles won't stay outside for longer than two minutes!

This reminds me I need to go get my eyes checked. I am afraid I am going to need bifocals, my eyesight is steadily getting worse and worse.

Glasses aren't cheap. The pair I currently have was about $500 and I didn't buy expensive frames...it's the no-line bifocals transition with protective coating that costs the bulk of it. Maybe you just need a 'basic' pair - good luck.

@marlina Gee, I thought when you have cataract surgery your eye sight improves. My mother didn't need glasses after and my father only needed reading glasses, which he had anyway. I guess they are all different.

My daughter north of Kingston sent me photos, she is buried in snow. We haven't see any yet - I'm not complaining. Congrats on the cataract surgery, I never thought about having to get glasses after the surgery...I need to see my doctor so I guess I need to call and make an appointment. Putting it off isn't working..

I hate the little puffer machine that helps dilates the pupils, I would rather have drops because at least I know when it is going to happen. I hope the glasses don't cost so much. Hope you get some good looking frames!

@marlina Hopefully you never have to. It is the worst. It scares me each time, and if you blink, you have to redo it

Good morning, I hope that these glasses aren't too much and that they do you for a long time. Its a bitterly cold morning here too, no snow, but so cold. Be careful when you go out, take some sunglasses just in case he hits you with the drops.

If they have to test your view for new glasses they will surely not use drops to late your pupils. You need to see well in order to have the appropriate lenses.

Hope you can find a nice pair of glasses that aren't too expensive. We have gusting winds here and just some flurries but nothing that would accumulate.
