Lettuce Eat

I got myself a bowl of cereal to eat. I normally check my bowls, plates, cups, anything to see if any rements was left after washing, because sometimes things do not get washed off. Apparently I did not look that great today probably because it was dark but while in the middle of eating my cereal, there was a piece of dried lettuce in the bowl. I have to admit, that is a little disgusting. It is disgusting because we do not eat salad in these bowls, these bowls are just for cereal. That means lettuce from another bowl transfer through the water and get into the cereal bowl. Ughhh I am a little sickened. I ate my cereal, but the whole time I felt a little queasy, but I hate wasting food.

It reminds me of the time when my mother accidentally made spaghetti fall in the kitchen sink. We were hungry and attempted to eat them. It had a feeble after taste of soap and it was edible, the problem was that we knew what happened before and the idea of it was kind of disgusting. My mother couldn't keep on eating, I did. It almost felt like I ate soap at the end. I don't like to waste food either. At least dried salad should be eatable, I wonder how old that piece was.

at least your mouth was clean? Haha! And if you ever had to get your mouth washed out for being foul well...you now know how the soap will taste.

@DesirousDreamer Yes, it felt very clean. It tastes like it smells, probably a little bitter.

@DesirousDreamer yes just like I said, just keep your mind off that piece of leaf sliding from somewhere and keep it focused on your favorite cereal.

Just think of it as added roughage. Or scrape the offending leaf off the bowl. Some people just can't do that, I know quite a few who would toss the entire bowl/plate of food away and start over.

I'm just happy I did not eat, that would have been disgusting haha I don't have the money to just toss food away. I just deal with it.

Someone did not pay attention when washing those dishes. We have to remove everything before we rinse them.
