Secret Life of my Pet

When did the cat take her little catnip pillow out in the garden and why did a list of addresses I have end up beside it? The paper was on the table and the pillow was on the carpet There is only me and the cat. I should set up a video and make my own secret life of the pet.

Cats live in an alternative reality. They do things very consciously and with much dedication and purpose which, to us, seem quite odd and random. Conversely, they are constantly astonished and incomprehensive of the things we do which, to us, are perfectly ordinary, routine and logical. For cats, obsessive compulsiveness, certain kinds of autism, attention deficit and, at times, hyperactivity is quite normal. This, of course, means that cats are really far more intelligent than the average human and, doubtless, carefully placing your address list in the garden beside a catnip pillow is part of a great strategy which is designed to change the inner workings of the capitalist system, improve the lives of a remote and forgotten tribe in Borneo or increase the number of butterflies available to chase in the summer.

I love it. You probably hit the nail on the head. On the other hand it is probably that my cat is a spy for MI6.

@Jackalyn I believe that most cats work for MI0 (you might be inclined to pronounce it "Em Aye Zero" but that would be incorrect. It's known as "Em-Aye-Oh" amongst the cognoscenti.) In the US, they either work for the Cat Intelligence Agency or Feline Board of Investigation.

When there are pets in the house, it's a good idea to spy them with a camera.

Cats are slowly taking over our lives as we know it. The cat is out to sabotage your list and cause dissent. It should make for an interesting show seeing the secret life of pets.

I am sure it would. "Are you yhe lady who owns that lovely Tabby?" has been said to me more than once in this village along with a description of how she was fed.

That is one smart cat. Have you seen the video of the cat continually flushing the toilet and watching the water disappear? The folks were getting a huge water bill and set up a camera in the bathroom. They discovered the cat was flushing the toilet over and over.

She's trying to go cold turkey on the catnip and she thought it would help her willpower if she sends the pillow away to someone you know
