~How The Day Has Been~

I hope everyone is having a great day! My cold is getting better-praise God for that! My girls have been getting their room clean and packed up, my son has been helping them with that too. I have been cleaning, packing and getting rid of things no longer needed. We were without power for 2 hours today. We are on a payment plan where we pay it every other day or so. My husband usually gets texts when we are low on the account. For some reason they didn't send one so it took a while after he paid it to get it back on. So I didn't want to write a post and not be able to charge my laptop-so I waited to do that until now. Now I am babysitting, Mylotting and relaxing before bed time. =) Oh, and the message was relayed to his Aunt that she's going to be in the garage in the new house. She said as long as I'm not cold I don't mind... It's not really an option. I hope your all having a great evening!

It's a good idea to sent the aunt in the garage. Do not eat the garage too much, so may be she is tempted to move elsewhere.

@LadyDuck Lol, we decided she wasn't taking another one of our kids rooms. We will put one heater in there for her but that's it, if she wants another she will have to buy it herself. Hopefully she won't be staying long...

@hatley I'm glad your feeling better. =) Today was more on the lazy side of things for me actually. While the power was out my daughter and I sat around playing cards for a bit. Lol.

@Gardengerty Yeah it makes it easier for us since it's smaller amounts. =)

We have a similar payment set up for electricity rates here in our country. The utility company calls it pre-paid electricity. Haven't availed of it yet, I doubt I will. You have a nice evening as well.

@LovingMyBabies hopefully, the company provides an explanation why no alert was sent and the company compensates you in some manner. Of course, ti goes without saying that this shouldn't happen again.

@allen0187 It makes it easier for us since it's smaller amounts. It's only bad when we don't get an alert and it gets shut off like today.

@LovingMyBabies ......I've never hear of a program like that. She can live in her own little world then.

@celticeagle We like it for the most part because it makes it easier for us to pay usually. But not when they don't tell us when its getting low. Lol she didn't have a choice anyway but we will let her think whatever she wants.

I've never heard of a plan quite like yours. I don't think we have any company who does that here. I'm glad that you're feeling better though. Hopefully, your aunt Mary will be gone before too long. We shall see.

@dodo19 I never heard of it either before moving here. They didn't have anything like this where we used to live in a different state. Thank you. I hope she will be too!

I've never actually heard of the option to pay for the power in installments like that. Does it save money somehow? Glad that you are feeling better and hope it's all cleared out soon as well. Now for this Aunt, I hope she doesn't give you guys any trouble if it is cold. I'd be grateful for the place to stay, regardless of the condition of the place period.

@Scribbledadnauseum It doesn't save us money, it's just smaller payments to make it easier for us to pay it instead of one big payment each month. Thank you. She's not grateful about anything unfortunately. She complains all day and night about something... Its hard to deal with.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah I usually stay away from such negative people as well. Unfortunately, when you have one living with you it makes things more difficult.

It sounds like you got a lot done today. I don't think that the dear old aunt can make a statement like that, she has to remember that she's being helped out as best she can be and exercise a little gratitude.

@Juliaacv Thanks, I tried! She is very ungrateful and complains every chance she can get. She complains about our home now being too cold-it's 72 degrees in our house all the time. We feel comfortable and we are the ones that pay the bill so...she needs to stop complaining!

I hate when power goes out here, from rain or other issues, the think I dislike the most is being cold.

I try and use as little gas and electric as possible. I pay a flat rate of £43 per month for gas and electric and so far I'm over £100 in credit. Between 3 october and 2 november I used £14.06 in total. How much are energy bills over with you?
