Still Stubborn

This morning I wrote about trying to get my stubborn daughter ready for school. Well, she has carried that theme through the entire day. I went to pick her up from her girl scout meeting this evening and she tried to tell her scout leaders that she didn't know me, thinking she would get stay at scouts longer. I had to trick her to get her out the door, and then she threw a fit. Happily, she calmed down considerably when we drove around looking at Christmas lights. I just don't know how anyone can be as stubborn as this kid is.

My daughters were in girl scouts many years ago and I'm a life time girl scout. Hope your daughter is enjoying girl scouts. I enjoyed selling cookies.

Well at the age of 7 unfortunately kids do have minds of their own and their personalities are developing. I don't think I was too difficult at that age but I do know that I could get really angry if I thought I was right and everyone else thought I was wrong. Do you know who she takes after in your family? Perhaps she was just feeling out of sorts that day but she should never deny you are her mom.

She takes after her dad for sure! He can be pretty darn stubborn too. She fights me on everything lately, just for the sake of fighting me. The scout leaders know I'm her mom, and know that she doesn't want to leave scouts because all of her little friends are there. She has tried the tantrum route before to avoid going home from scouts, but this was new. Hopefully she doesn't do it again next time lol.
